Privacy Policy

What data DocForge collects, why, and how long we keep it — and the promise that we never sell it.

Last updated: July 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DocForge, operated by Aashapura LLC as part of the Ark platform, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and document-generation service (the “Service”). We keep what we collect to the minimum needed to run the Service, and we do not sell your personal data.

In plain terms

We collect only what is needed to run DocForge, and we never sell your personal data.

  • We keep your account email, the briefs and assets you add, and the PDFs you generate.
  • Stripe handles your card details — we never see or store your full card number.
  • Generated documents auto-delete (by default within 24 hours); download what you want to keep.
  • No third-party ad tracking or cross-site cookies — just what keeps you signed in and the site working.
  • You can access, export, or delete your data and close your account at any time.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. When you sign in through the Ark authentication service, we receive your email address and a basic account identifier. If you opt in, we also record a newsletter preference.
  • Brand assets you upload. Logos and images (SVG, PNG, or JPEG, up to 2 MB) that you choose to add to a document. These are sanitized before storage to remove active or unsafe content.
  • Briefs and generated documents. The descriptions, data, and instructions you enter, and the PDFs DocForge produces from them.
  • Billing information. When you buy credits or a subscription, our payment processor collects your payment details. We receive a record of the transaction (such as plan, amount, and status) but not your full card number.
  • Usage and technical data. Standard information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and actions taken (for example, documents generated), used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide the Service — authenticate you, generate and store your documents, and make them available for download.
  • To process payments, apply credits, and manage subscriptions.
  • To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse of the free tier, and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • To operate and improve features, diagnose problems, and understand aggregate usage.
  • To respond to your support requests and, where you have opted in, send product updates.

3. Deep research

If you enable Deep research for a document, DocForge sends your topic to our in-house research system (DeepLens) to read publicly available web sources before writing. This happens only for that request and only to produce your document.

4. How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for third-party advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run DocForge, and only as needed for that purpose:

  • Stripe — to process payments securely. Stripe handles your card details under its own privacy policy.
  • Ark platform services — the self-hosted authentication, hosting, and infrastructure that DocForge runs on.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or in connection with a business transfer, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this policy.

5. Data retention

  • Generated documents are automatically deleted — by default within 24 hours of generation. Download anything you want to keep before it expires.
  • Uploaded brand assets are kept while they are attached to your documents and are removed on the same schedule, or when you delete them.
  • Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

6. Security

We protect your data with reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption of traffic in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and sanitization of uploaded files before storage. No online service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit what we hold.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can delete generated documents from Your documents, and you can ask us to close your account and remove your remaining personal data by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8. Cookies and local storage

DocForge uses your browser’s local storage to hold your sign-in token so you stay logged in, and essential cookies to operate the site. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to use DocForge. We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International users

DocForge is operated as part of the Ark platform and your data may be processed on infrastructure located in different countries. Where we transfer data across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistently with this policy.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
