These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of DocForge (the “Service”), a document-generation service that turns a plain-language brief into a client-ready, print-quality PDF, typeset with the Typst engine. DocForge is operated by Aashapura LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”) as part of the Ark platform. By creating an account or generating a document, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
In plain terms
DocForge turns your brief into a downloadable, print-quality PDF — here is the deal in plain language.
- Your first document (up to four pages) is free; after that it is 1 credit per page, billed through Stripe.
- You own what you upload and everything DocForge makes for you — we don’t claim your work.
- Use it for lawful documents only: no forgery, malware, or reselling the Service as your own.
- Generated documents can contain errors — always review one before you rely on it or send it.
- Documents auto-delete (by default within 24 hours), so download anything you want to keep.
1. The Service
DocForge lets you describe a document — a report, proposal, product catalog, invoice, research paper, resume, or similar — and returns a downloadable PDF that it writes and typesets for you. Browsing the example gallery on our website is open to everyone; generating your own document requires a signed-in account. We may add, change, or remove features, document types, and styles over time.
2. Your account
- You sign in through the Ark authentication service. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for all activity that happens under it.
- You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (at least 16, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live).
- One person or organization per account, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
3. Free document, credits, and billing
- Your first document is free (up to four pages), with no card required.
- Beyond that, DocForge runs on credits: 1 credit = 1 page generated or regenerated. You can buy credits through a monthly subscription or as a one-off credit pack. Edits and regenerations consume credits only for the pages actually produced.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. By purchasing, you also agree to Stripe’s terms as our payment processor.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Prices, plans, and credit amounts are shown on our pricing page and may change; changes do not affect a billing period you have already paid for. Refund terms are set out in our Payment & Refund Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- create content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that infringes another party’s intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights;
- generate fraudulent documents, forged records, or material designed to deceive or impersonate;
- upload malware, or attempt to probe, disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service or its infrastructure;
- resell, sublicense, or repackage the Service itself as your own generation product; or
- use automated means to abuse the free tier, evade credit limits, or circumvent authentication.
You are responsible for the briefs you submit, the assets you upload, and the documents you produce, and for ensuring they comply with all laws that apply to you.
5. Your content and brand assets
- You own what you bring and what you make. As between you and us, you retain all rights to the briefs and data you submit, the brand assets you upload (such as a logo), and the documents DocForge generates for you. We claim no ownership of them.
- You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit your content only as needed to operate the Service for you — for example, to generate a document, render its preview, and make it available for download.
- Uploaded images (SVG, PNG, or JPEG, up to 2 MB) are sanitized before storage to strip active or unsafe content. You confirm you have the rights to any asset you upload. See our Copyright policy for how we handle infringement claims.
6. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, website, design, and the DocForge and Chakrakali names and logos, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-transferable right to use the Service; they do not transfer any of our intellectual property to you.
7. Accuracy of generated documents
DocForge uses automated and AI-assisted systems to write and lay out documents, and — when you enable Deep research — to read publicly available web sources. Generated content can contain errors, omissions, or outdated figures. The Service is a drafting and typesetting tool, not a substitute for professional, legal, financial, or other advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying every document before you rely on it or send it to a third party.
8. Document retention
Documents you generate are stored so you can download them, and are then automatically deleted — by default within 24 hours of generation. Download anything you want to keep before it expires. We are not responsible for documents lost because they were not downloaded in time.
9. Service provided “as is”
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any document will meet your specific requirements.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or where required by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits) will continue to apply.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Aashapura LLC is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of its competent courts, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
