This policy explains how billing works at DocForge and when refunds apply. It should be read together with our Terms of Service. DocForge is operated by Aashapura LLC as part of the Ark platform, and payments are processed by Stripe.
In plain terms
You only pay for pages you actually receive, and unused credit packs are refundable for 14 days.
- Your first document (up to four pages) is free — no card needed.
- Credits are 1 per page; failed or defective generations are re-credited or fixed at no cost.
- Unused credit packs are fully refundable within 14 days; used credits are not (they have been delivered).
- Subscriptions renew until you cancel; cancelling stops future charges at the end of the period.
- Charged by mistake? Contact us before your bank and we will sort it out.
1. Your first document is free
You can generate your first document — up to four pages — for free, with no card required. This lets you see exactly what DocForge produces before you pay anything.
2. How billing works
- DocForge runs on credits: 1 credit = 1 page generated or regenerated. A four-page proposal costs four credits; edits and regenerations consume credits only for the pages actually produced.
- Subscriptions grant a monthly allowance of credits and renew automatically until cancelled. Monthly plan credits reset each billing period.
- Credit packs are a one-off purchase with no recurring charge, and pack credits never expire.
- Current prices are on our pricing page. Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise, and applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
3. Failed or defective generations
You should only pay for pages you actually receive. If a generation fails because of an error on our side, the credits for that generation are not consumed — and if any were deducted, they are returned to your balance. If a document is produced but is defective due to a fault in the Service, contact us and we will re-credit the affected pages or regenerate the document at no additional cost.
4. Subscriptions
- You can cancel any time from your account or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access to the remaining period you have already paid for.
- Because credits are delivered and available to use immediately, subscription fees for a billing period that has started are generally non-refundable, and unused monthly credits do not carry over after the period ends.
- If you were charged after cancelling, or a renewal was clearly unintended, contact us and we will make it right.
5. Credit packs
- A one-off credit pack is fully refundable within 14 days of purchase if none of its credits have been used. Contact us and we will refund it in full.
- Once you have generated documents with a pack, the used portion is non-refundable because it has been delivered. Any never-expiring unused balance remains on your account for you to use later.
6. Accidental and duplicate charges
If you were charged in error — for example, a duplicate transaction or a charge you did not authorize — contact us and, once confirmed, we will refund it promptly. Please reach out to us before opening a dispute with your bank so we can resolve it faster.
7. How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from the address on your account, or use the Concierge chat on our site. Include the date of the charge and the plan or pack purchased. We aim to respond within a few business days. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method through Stripe; the time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card provider.
8. Price changes
We may change prices, plans, and credit amounts over time. Changes never affect a billing period you have already paid for, and any change to a recurring subscription price will be communicated before it takes effect.
9. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under the law of your country, including any statutory cooling-off or withdrawal rights that apply to digital services.
